Traffic Management Lead Operative
Contract: Cheshire East Highways

As a Traffic Management Lead Operative, you will play a key role in delivering safe and efficient work across the network—leading a team to install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
The Role
•Work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.
•Manage and direct a small traffic management team.
•Carry out and take responsibility for Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment on low-speed roads.
•Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic signals including, two-way traffic control, up to multi-phase traffic control. Ensuring the units are installed correctly and that batteries are fully charged.
•Collect traffic management from sites once projects have been completed.
About You
•Previous experience of delivering highway maintenance traffic management on site.
•A current, valid driving licence is essential, with LGV class 2 as desirable.
•Able to carry out basic safety, quality and environmental audits and risk assessments
•Able to take responsibility for traffic management, 12 A/B Traffic Management essential with the relevant NHSS 12 training.
•A good understanding of health and safety and its impact on the workplace.
