Job Summary: Our Vehicle Technicians carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance of the John Lewis Partnership Fleet in a professional and competent manner.
At a glance
Salary: The salary offered for this role is up to £42,700. From 1st April, this will increase to £44,200 plus a shift premium.
Your potential earnings could be up to £59,000 including Shift premium and OTE (On Target Earnings).
Shift Details
Late Shift: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, working 1 in 2 Saturdays at premium overtime rates, with a shift premium of 25% (£7,875/year). Working hours: 14:00 - 22:00.
Night Shift: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, with alternating weeks: Week 1: Monday - Friday 22:00 - 06:00; Week 2: Sunday - Thursday 22:00 - 06:00. Shift premium of 33% (£10,395/year).

This is a permanent role.
What you'll be doing
* Maintain vehicles to a safe and roadworthy standard per VOSA and Partnership requirements.
* Complete inspection, service, and defect paperwork accurately and promptly.
* Maintain safe working practices in line with safety and Partnership regulations.
* Ensure high-quality repairs are cost-effective.
* Keep work areas clean and tidy.
* Assist in specific projects as directed.
* Stay updated on industry developments affecting workshop operations.
* Service & repairs of the fleet.
* Take ownership of personal development, seeking guidance from team leaders.
* Manage your time efficiently and proactively.
* Work as part of the team and support others.

Essential Experience/Qualifications
* City and Guilds 1, 2, 3 Heavy Vehicle Technician or equivalent.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proven experience in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
* Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.
* 'C' or 'C+E' driving license is desirable but not essential.
