Team Leader - Children's Residential Care Home

Shifts: Rotational (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

The Role
As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home. You will support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in leading a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead shifts and ensure consistent, child-centred care
* Supervise, coach and support staff, including contributing to performance appraisals
* Support the development and implementation of care plans
* Manage incidents and safeguarding concerns in line with policy
* Promote positive routines, boundaries, and aspirations for young people
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and organisational policies
* Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care practices.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals.
What We're Looking For:
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
* At least 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
* Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff - preferred
* Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and child development
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties
