Overview
We are looking for an experienced care professional to be our next Care Team Leader. Lifeways are looking for a Care Team Leader to work alongside our Service Manager in the leadership and day-to-day management of our established service. Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate a team of support workers to ensure excellent person-centred care and support for people supported by Lifeways to enable them to live a fulfilling and independent life.
* Involved in recruitment and ongoing development of support workers, carrying out staff supervisions, candidate interviews and providing general guidance and expertise.
* Communicate effectively with staff, people we support and outside professionals; strong written communication and IT skills for record keeping.
* Work with service manager in day-to-day operations, and participate in driving quality of care.
* Care recipients may have learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviours and some mobility issues; some manual handling may be required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence (driving company cars).
* Experience as Care Team Leader or Senior Support Worker with NVQ / QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) preferred; dedicated Care Assistant or Carer with strong track record may be considered with training and development opportunities.
