The Role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a well:regarded secondary school in Bradford. This is a full:time position starting this january. The role of a Cover Supervisor is to manage a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. You will be responsible for ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the pre:planned work provided. The role requires a strong presence and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment. You will be a vital part of the schools daily operations, ensuring continuity of education and supporting the academic progress of all students.

Requirements
* Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
* A strong understanding of classroom management techniques.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one)

Responsibilities
* Supervising classes during the short:term absence of teachers.
* Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom to ensure a constructive learning environment.
* Ensuring students are on task with the pre:prepared work.
* Responding to and addressing any immediate questions or issues from students.
* Liaising with the schools teaching staff and administrative team.
* Upholding the schools behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times.
* Reporting back to the Head of Department or relevant teacher on class progress.
* Ensuring the safety and well:being of all students under your supervision.
* Leaving the classroom in a tidy and organised state for the returning teacher.
* Providing pastoral support to students as and when required.
