This Primary School in the BS9 area is looking for an Interventions Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This school values every member of its community, encouraging everyone to look towards the possibilities of what can be achieved for themselves and others.
The Role
The ideal Interventions Teaching Assistant supports students who need extra help to achieve academic or behavioral goals. They often work with small groups or individuals outside the main classroom, delivering targeted programs in areas like literacy, numeracy, or social skills. They track pupil progress and adapt resources to meet specific needs. Collaborating closely with teachers and SEN staff, they play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
You will be expected to:
1. Support students requiring additional help in specific subjects.
2. Work one-on-one or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
3. Assist the class teacher in identifying students who need extra support.
4. Help plan, prepare, and deliver tailored learning activities and resources.
5. Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
6. Promote students’ self-esteem, confidence, and independence.
7. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff.
8. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
