This is a Group Warrant Officer (GWO) Volunteer Reserve position in a Nationally Recruited Unit. The successful candidate will be required to attend at least 44x RSDs per year. The GWO generally attends in excess of 88x RSDs per year. 65 Wks Gp RE is a Reserve Unit of 268 personnel based in the East Midlands. 65 Wks Gp RE undertakes a variety of infrastructure tasks including consultancy, design, maintenance and CNI advice. The Unit provides professional, innovative and cost-effective infrastructure engineering support to Defence and other Government Departments, is responsive to clients' needs, utilising the specialist skills, knowledge and experience of the team members gained through their highly diverse civilian employment. As Unit Group Warrant Officer you will: Be the senior soldier in the Unit, providing advice and support to CO, Unit HQ, and all sub-Units. Maintain a strong presence within the Unit, dealing with any welfare or discipline concerns or issues, and ensure that orders from the chain of command are carried out efficiently and effectively. Actively participate in Unit management, attending CO's monthly meetings (usually by MS Teams), effectively disseminate direction and guidance to sub-Unit TWOs. Assist with planning Unit ATX and attend. Assist with planning 2x RE Wks Gp Study Weekends, attend as the Senior ARes soldier across RE Wks Gps. Organise combined Mess function. Lead on the planning and organisation of medal parades, presentations of awards, etc as required. Link in to the other Wks Gps and generally represent 65 Wks Gp as required. .
