Broker Distribution Manager, Angel Risk Management

Reporting into Angel’s eTrade Strategy and Distribution leader, the Broker Distribution Manager will contribute to actively managing, expanding, and acquiring broker relationships, working with Underwriters in the Angel Underwriting team in Chelmsford to profitably grow the UK Specialty eTrade book of business.

Essential responsibilities include:
1. Managing and expanding broker relationships to support profitable sales growth and retention.
2. Developing segmentation practices and account plans for regional Brokers.
3. Strengthening broker relationships and developing a pipeline of opportunities using management information.
4. Supporting the transition and performance of the UK eTrade Business.
5. Collaborating on the eTrade strategy with multiple stakeholders.
6. Enhancing Angel Risk Management’s reputation through marketing and innovative solutions.
7. Matching broker needs with Angel’s expertise and solutions.
8. Working with underwriters to retain and grow books of business, ensuring high service levels.
9. Ensuring broker partners deliver on services within the Specialty eTrade line of business.
10. Supporting cross-selling and product density initiatives.
11. Maximizing opportunities within the broader AXA Group to provide comprehensive client solutions.
12. Being part of a strong team and culture within Angel Leadership and Distribution.
Share your talent
We seek candidates with:
1. Experience contributing to the strategic development of UK eTrade Specialty business and broker functions.
2. Proven sales, marketing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
3. Technical skills in CRM systems and data analysis.
4. Regional insurance market knowledge, underwriting, broking, or similar experience.
5. Knowledge of risk-managed programmes, eTraded solutions, and the Insurance Software House environment; understanding of Specialty/Financial Lines is a bonus.
6. Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to develop productive relationships.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Results-oriented mindset with proactive approach and prioritization skills.
9. Focus on continuous improvement and eagerness to learn.
