Job Title: Qualified Level 3 Nursery Assistant
We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Qualified Level 3 Nursery Assistant to join our pool of candidates for various temporary or contract positions within schools.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across various early childhood education centres and nurseries in Eastbourne. Your role will be crucial in supporting daily nursery operations and ensuring the well-being and development of children. This is a temporary/contract position with variable duration and hours depending on client needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, programs, and curricula to promote children's learning and development.
2. Ensure the safety and well-being of children, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies.
3. Provide personal care, including diapering, feeding, and maintaining hygiene standards.
4. Observe and monitor children's behaviour and development, communicating findings to supervisors and parents.
5. Build positive relationships with children and families through open communication.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
7. Support social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities.
8. Maintain accurate records such as reports and development files.
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
* Experience working in a nursery or similar setting.
* Knowledge of child development principles and play-based learning.
* Understanding of health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work in different environments and routines.
* Passion for working with young children and promoting their development.
* Availability for temporary/contract work with flexible hours and locations.
