Our Group Reservations Manager will be responsible for maximising the group revenue numbers and occupancy by overseeing all inquiries and reservation processes. They will lead the reservations team to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient booking procedures while delivering a guest experience second to none.
This role plays a vital part in delivering the commercial targets and works closely with the revenue and marketing teams to support this delivery. They lead the team that are at the very start of the guest journey and curate the very best of first impressions.
What you’ll be doing
* Optimising revenue and occupancy: In collaboration with the revenue team, the reservation manager embraces agreed pricing strategies and manage inventory to maximise profitability.
* Driving sales: Implement agreed strategies like upselling and cross-selling to increase revenue and actively pursue new and cancelled bookings to boost conversion rates.
* Analysing performance: Working with the Revenue Manager to ensure the wider team are aware of challenges and the part they play in reducing risk.
* Overseeing daily operations: Manage all aspects of the reservations process, including handling inquiries, confirming bookings, and resolving any issues or complaints.
* Managing the switchboard team ensuring effective call answer rates and standards.
What we are looking for
You will need several years’ experience leading a group or large hotel sales team to be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of systems and revenue management processes as well as a passion for curating the very best first impressions.
You will be growing your team so your ability to motivate, inspire and guide a large diverse team will be vital. You will be given the space, trust and support to own your own success and be committed to supporting the wider commercial team.
