Location: Cowes - Isle of Wight (For the first 12 months you will work within our Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base).
Responsibilities
* Overhaul and manufacture components and assemblies found within our complex radar and underwater military products
* Produce or re‑furbish the components found in our underwater military products
* Interpret drawings/specifications to plan work, ensuring you have the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task to the required specification
* Develop a detailed understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, to include, but not limited to, electrical wiring, mechanical fitting, printed circuit board rework and microelectronics processing
* During the first year you will be based within our Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base
What Qualification will you get?
* EAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
* At the end of the apprenticeship, you will obtain a nationally recognised apprenticeship Completion Certificate
* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4 / A-C which must include Maths & English & a Science / Technical Subject
