The Role
We are working with a well-established and ambitious 11–19 secondary school in Northumberland to appoint a Teacher of Computer Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking department committed to delivering a rigorous and engaging Computing curriculum across KS3–KS5.
The successful candidate will teach a broad range of topics including programming, algorithms, data representation, cybersecurity and computational thinking. You will play a key role in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Computer Science, while promoting digital literacy and problem-solving skills across the school.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Teach programming languages such as Python and core theoretical concepts
* Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations
* Differentiate to meet a range of learning needs
* Assess, monitor and track student progress
* Contribute to extracurricular or enrichment opportunities in Computing
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
* Experience teaching GCSE (A-Level desirable)
* Confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management
* Commitment to high standards and inclusive education
