Make an impact!This role involves leading the UK Accounts Payable and Credit Control team, with a focus on driving process improvements and operational efficiencies. You'll play a key role in optimising the Group's working capital position while also identifying and initiating future process and system enhancement opportunities.What you'll be doing:Lead and develop the UK Accounts Payable and Credit Control team, ensuring clear roles, support, and performance reviewsOptimise DPO and DSO metrics by working closely with Procurement and Site Coordinators to improve cash flow and reduce bad debtOversee accurate and timely processing of invoices, employee expenses, and payment runs while balancing supplier terms with working capital needsManage overdue reporting and dunning processes, including high-quality reporting to senior leadership and oversight of key accountsDevelop and implement a UK-wide credit policy and ensure effective customer master data and ledger managementCoordinate ledger postings, reconciliations, cash allocations, and credit note processing to maintain accurate and clean ledgersDo you have what it takes?Solid experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable within a large, complex organisation (over £50m turnover)Proven line management experience, including team development, retention, and performance managementStrong SAP (FICO, SD, FSCM) and Excel skills, with solid systems aptitudeDemonstrated experience in credit management (ideally MCICM qualified), cash management, and process improvementStrong interpersonal and leadership skills with a hands-on, proactive approachCommercially aware, highly motivated, and able to build strong cross-functional relationshipsHigh integrity, sound decision-making, and a drive for continuous improvementWe expect from you to Be accountable, Drive results, Embrace Change, and high levels of Collaboration!What's in for you?Salary up to £55,000Annual bonusContributory PensionHybrid working- 3 days on site/ 2 days from homeFlexible benefits (access to our benefits platform for discounts and cash back on shopping purchases, gyms and leisure activities, cycle to work scheme and dedicated wellbeing centre)Ready to make a difference?
