Part Time Accounts Assistant - Mevagissey - £23-26,000 Pro Rata
Trial Balance Consulting is pleased to be exclusively engaged by a unique employer based in the Mevagissey area, seeking to recruit a part-time Accounts Assistant to support their Company Accountant. The position is permanent, approximately 24 hours per week, with flexible hours to suit the successful candidate.
The client operates a well-established group of legal entities across various industry sectors, offering a varied role primarily focused on managing the accounts payable and receivable functions. Working closely with an experienced Company Accountant, key responsibilities include:
1. Managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate entry of supplier invoices.
2. Serving as the first point of contact for supplier queries and developing strong supplier relationships.
3. Overseeing the supplier payment schedule.
4. Assisting with accounts receivable, including aged debtor management.
5. Performing daily bank reconciliations.
6. Supporting VAT reporting.
7. Assisting with various accounting projects alongside the Company Accountant.
Ideal candidates will be motivated and enthusiastic, with recent experience in a similar role and a good understanding of day-to-day accounting procedures. The client is open to applications from part or fully qualified AAT candidates or those with sufficient vocational experience. A good understanding of SAGE and MS Office is essential, as the role is within a technology-driven environment. Excellent team-working and communication skills are required, both internally and externally.
