Middlemore is running a retained search to recruit a strategic, commercial Senior HR Business Partner to join a prestigious, mid-sized, global financial services firm based in London.
The role supports a client group across underwriting, primarily based in the UK with a small, disparate European population. As the business continues to scale and expand its footprint across the globe, this role will support and drive that growth and transformation. In the capacity of Senior HR Business Partner you will build strong relationships across the UK with a specific focus on supporting senior stakeholders across front and middle office functions. Relating to HR project exposure, you should expect to get involved in all things culture, and performance improvements – this firm are turning the dial on all the elements which has positioned them as one of the market leaders in their industry.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Work with the HR leadership team to support the delivery of the HR strategy. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on HR related matters.
* Support the Global Head of HR and Talent Development in the tactical execution of strategic HR initiatives across multiple divisions, supporting and facilitating organisational design and transformation programmes as required.
* Working with your client group to identify talent gaps, succession planning, and employee development opportunities to address current and future business needs.
* Ensure delivery of the annual performance review and reward process, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and individual performance support managers in addressing performance issues, to support the development of a high-performance culture.
* Help develop management capabilities through individual coaching, workshops, and knowledge sharing.
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline HR processes and enhance service delivery.
* Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes impacting HR and the financial services sector.
* Working in partnership with your Senior HR BP peers to drive a globally cohesive people and culture strategy, leveraging shared HR Advisory support where needed.
* Lead on complex ER cases when required.
* Support on Ord Design and Transformation work to structure the business appropriately, which provides a solid platform for global growth (organic, and via M&A).
The successful candidate will have an experienced background in financial services.. The successful Senior HR Business Partner will be able to showcase an array of skills across all areas of HR, including stakeholder management, ER, project work, performance improvement and cultural change.
What else will you need:
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice with an understanding of FCA regulatory requirements.
* Insurance / Lloyds Insurance experience would be highly advantageous for this role as you will be supporting an underwriting client group
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to build credible relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* Agile, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Excellent attention to detail and accurate and highly organised
