About the Role:
Working alongside a second support coach, you will manage and support our students through 1:1s, and group sessions. Through a multi-agency approach, you will understand the needs of students across campus and ensure that our students access tailored support and access the support they need to stay on programme and be successful.
You will be dealing with a range of issues such as anxiety through to self-harm. You will triage walk-ins and also manage a caseload of students you will see on a regular basis.
You will have experience of working with young people and have knowledge/training in safeguarding and how to support students with mental health issues.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Roles and Responsibilities
3. Establish relationships with students, their parents/guardians and curriculum areas to ensure you understand needs and how to respond
4. Provide discreet support as required to ensure student feels well supported
5. Monitor the wellbeing of students and report any concerns to Head of curriculum and/or Head/Deputy Head of Wellbeing & Safeguarding/Head of Student Experience
6. Working alongside support team to be a point of contact for all students on campus
7. To maintain accurate records of all student interventions in accordance with departmental procedures
8. Attend curriculum meetings to understand support needs and share strategies to support students in class
9. Working with external partners to establish wider specialist support as required
General duties
10. To contribute to the effective management and promotion of equality and diversity
11. To work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, ensuring the College is a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.
12. To promote with staff and students the importance of safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults they are responsible for and come into contact with.
