Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up the exciting post of Curriculum Team Manager for Mechanical Engineering. As part of this role, you will work with existing staff to lead on a range of qualifications from SCQF Level 4 to Level 8, including School College Partnership, outreach programmes and commercial delivered short courses. Educated to SCQF Level 8 in a relevant mechanical or electrical engineering discipline and holding a recognised teaching qualification, ideally TQFE. You will have current experience of delivering engineering subjects and have up to date knowledge of industry trends and awarding body qualification requirements. The role requires for excellent interpersonal skills and your ability to demonstrate an effective contribution to team working with colleagues and with external stakeholders. In this role, you will be expected to undertake the following key activities: Line management responsibilities Curriculum Management Delivery of curriculum Quality Assurance and Improvement Performance Monitoring and Progress Reporting Budgeting and Financial Management External Stakeholder Engagement Applicants must be able to demonstrate the necessary people skills to management and be willing to share practice and an ability to support and contribute to the development of the department. You will be required to teach a limited range of classes within the faculty.
