Retail Operations Manager (Multi‑Site)

Kalm Kitchen is growing its retail and hospitality footprint, and we’re looking for an experienced Retail Operations Manager to help us build the operational backbone that will support that growth.
This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone with experience developing multi‑site operations, embedding processes and SOPs, and creating the structure that enables teams and sites to perform consistently as complexity increases.
The role
As Retail Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the day‑to‑day operational performance of our retail sites, working closely with senior leadership and project teams to ensure that what is built is delivered, embedded and sustained.
This role is not about firefighting. It is about clarity, consistency and control — mapping how things should work, implementing systems properly, and supporting site teams to operate confidently within them.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and support the operational performance of multiple retail sites
* Own the day‑to‑day and weekly operational rhythm across the estate
* Map key operational processes (service, stock, people, opening/closing, compliance)
* Create, implement and maintain clear SOPs and operating standards
* Ensure consistency in service, food standards, cleanliness, safety and brand execution
* Support and coach site managers, providing clarity, structure and accountability
* Work alongside project and handover teams to ensure new sites and initiatives land properly
* Support the delivery of ad‑hoc retail locations and pop‑ups without destabilising core operations
About you
This role will suit someone who:
* Has proven experience operating across multiple retail or hospitality sites
* Has led process mapping and SOP implementation in a growing business
* Is structured, organised and comfortable, bringing order to complexity
* Is hands‑on, visible on site and confident holding teams to account
* Enjoys building scalable operations rather than working around broken ones
Salary & package
* £48,000 per annum
* Company car included
* Field‑based, multi‑site role across the Home Counties
