Responsibilities
6. Teaching English for Academic Purposes, Business English, IELTS preparation
7. Assist the DoS and ADoS in the day to day running of the academic programme
8. Take responsibility for certain areas of the academic programme
9. Present themselves as a model of quality and professionalism
10. Teach students of all levels and course types
11. Cover for absent colleagues
12. Help and advise colleagues in their awareness and use of teaching resources and teaching methodology
13. Actively participate in the schools’ in service training program and partake, where appropriate, in opportunities for professional development
14. Assist the DOS and ADOS in conducting effective inductions of new teachers and giving advice on new procedures
15. Observe teachers as directed by the DOS and ADOS, providing written, formal evaluations of observations as well as co-ordinating peer observations as required.
16. Assist the DOS and ADOS in identifying teacher needs and delivering CPDs in these areas.
17. Keeping record of books stock-check and prepare books for teachers every 6 weeks
18. Managing the teachers’ resource library and students’ library
19. Ensuring classroom resources are in good order
20. Tracking submissions of Weekly Schemes
21. Co-ordinating and assisting with exams run in school.
22. Assist with intake of new students, including preparing test rooms, welcoming students and delivering speaking tests
Requirements
23. Cambridge DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL qualified, or, underway and at least one Module completed
24. Ability to teach Academic Writing, English for Academic purposes & Business English
25. University degree or equivalent
26. Passionate and professional
27. Keen interest in up to date EFL methodology and developments
28. A strong desire to develop within the EFL profession
29. Able to encourage a positive and sharing attitude to both classroom and professional issues
30. Sensitive to students’ academic & welfare needs
31. Organised and thorough

34. C2 level of English
