Job Advert Role Description
Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a 28-bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care service for female patients.
We offer individualised care packages for patients, specialising in managing behaviours that lead to distress, supported by a team of psychologists and occupational therapists. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on positive behavioural support planning to help patients manage and develop strategies to improve their distress and trauma.
Sapphire Ward
10-bedded psychiatric intensive care unit for females of working age, proficient at nursing patients in a severe phase of mental health illness, integrating current best practices to promote recovery.
Our team has extensive experience managing high levels of patient distress, allowing admission from various clinical settings including other mental health wards and emergency departments.
Barton Ward
9-bedded acute service providing treatment for females of working age, acting as an extension to NHS care pathways during times of fluctuating capacity, enabling more people to receive care and ensuring continuity of treatment.
Barton Ward collaborates with families, carers, and CCGs to minimize hospital stay lengths, aiming for discharge into the community when possible.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist at Priory Hospital East Midlands, supporting our female adult Acute and PICU inpatient services. The role involves covering the 10-bed PICU, with potential future adjustments based on service needs and staff skills. The hospital operates 24/7, accepting admissions year-round.
We seek a highly motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our expanding and diverse team in the Priory North Region. The successful candidate will receive:
