Are you looking to build a career in mental health, education, or social care? Do you want to support young people who've experienced trauma and need a safe, understanding environment to grow?

We're currently seeking a Trauma Support professional to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Oxford. This full-time role is ideal for someone compassionate, resilient, and ready to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

As part of the Trauma Support team, you'll work closely with students affected by early-life adversity, anxiety, and behavioural challenges. Your role will be crucial in helping them regulate emotions, re-engage with learning, and develop trusting relationships.

What you'll do in your Trauma Support role:

Provide consistent 1:1 or small group support tailored to students' emotional needs
Help implement trauma-informed strategies and routines
Create a stable, calm, and nurturing classroom environment
Encourage positive coping mechanisms and self-regulation skills

A successful Trauma Support candidate will be emotionally intelligent, patient, and dedicated to helping young people overcome barriers to education.

This role is well-suited to:

Psychology or education graduates
Aspiring therapists, social workers, or SEN professionals
Individuals with youth work or care background
Anyone looking for hands-on experience in trauma and behaviour support

Joining the Trauma Support staff in this Oxford-based school offers more than just a job - it's a stepping stone to a future in child mental health or specialist education. You'll receive training, guidance, and be part of a team that values empathy and consistency.

If you're ready to be a positive force in a child's life, apply now to become part of this committed Trauma Support team in Oxford
