We're currently seeking a Trauma Support professional to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Oxford. This full-time role is ideal for someone compassionate, resilient, and ready to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
As part of the Trauma Support team, you'll work closely with students affected by early-life adversity, anxiety, and behavioural challenges. Your role will be crucial in helping them regulate emotions, re-engage with learning, and develop trusting relationships.
What you'll do in your Trauma Support role:
Provide consistent 1:1 or small group support tailored to students' emotional needs
Help implement trauma-informed strategies and routines
Create a stable, calm, and nurturing classroom environment
Encourage positive coping mechanisms and self-regulation skills
A successful Trauma Support candidate will be emotionally intelligent, patient, and dedicated to helping young people overcome barriers to education.
