About the role The Clinical Administration Team Lead is responsible for the effective leadership, coordination, and delivery of high-quality administrative support across all clinical services at the adult hospice sites. This role ensures robust systems, efficient processes, and responsive administrative functions are in place to enable clinical teams to provide exceptional patient-centred end of life care. The postholder will manage the Clinical Administration Team, oversee service performance, maintain accurate records, and support compliance with regulatory, governance, and audit requirements. Working collaboratively and liaising with healthcare professionals, families, and external contacts you will be key in providing a professional and compassionate service provision. Essential criteria · Lead, support, and develop the clinical administration team, ensuring high standards of performance, professionalism, and communication. · Oversee team rotas, workload allocation, recruitment, induction, appraisals, and ongoing staff development. · Promote a positive, compassionate, and inclusive working culture aligned with hospice values. · Responsible for management of volunteers to support delivery of clinical administration services. · Lead the administrative process and systems for all clinical services. · Ensure business continuity across services and provide administrative support as required · Lead and develop standard operating procedures and guidance documentation as required to support standardised working practices and process within and across hospice sites. · Manage user accounts to the Electronic Patient Record Database ensuring access levels are appropriate to roles and duties. · Work with the Head of Operations to support the administration, management, and development of the electronic patient record database, assisting with providing support and training in its use to clinical and medical teams. · Work with Clinical Leaders and the Business Intelligence Team to support data capture and reporting within clinical systems and processes. · Facilitate clinical access accounts to external systems such as NHS mail, ICE, PACs.
