About the Role
As a History Teacher, you will deliver well-structured, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will encourage pupils to develop research skills, critical thinking, and the ability to form independent judgments about historical events.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Supporting pupils of varying abilities through differentiated teaching strategies
* Using assessment effectively to track progress and inform teaching
* Encouraging independent research and critical thinking
* Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
* Supporting extracurricular activities such as history clubs, trips, and competitions

Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History
