Purpose:
The setting up and operation of production welding in a safe and efficient manner.
Main Duties:
1. Carry out production/fabrication welding MIG operations following standard operating procedures as directed by the Manager or with input from others involved in the job.
2. Manufacture or assist in the manufacture of tooling necessary for the production of components.
3. Be responsible for the quality of own work, focusing on achieving zero defects and a right-first-time approach.
4. Perform routine and minor maintenance, including good housekeeping within the assembly/welding department.
5. Inform the Manager of any special tools or tooling needed for production to minimize delays.
6. Assist other sections as required.
7. Take necessary training (internally or externally) as needed to perform work effectively.
8. Continuously improve efficiency through productivity and cost reduction, and suggest improvements to the Manager.
9. Report machine or equipment faults or improvements to the Manager.
10. Maintain a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
11. Carry out any other tasks as reasonably requested and be willing to train others.

Requirements:
* Experienced MIG welder, TIG experience is beneficial.
* Structured and diligent approach to work.
* Competent in reading engineering drawings and following SOPs.
