Area Sales Manager

Responsibilities
* Drive regional sales growth while providing valuable market insights and product feedback.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans for each business unit to consistently exceed targets.
* Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, focusing on key accounts to achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to set ambitious growth targets and implement high-impact strategies.
* Engage and influence clients at all levels, building strong, long‑term relationships.
* Craft compelling business proposals, sales plans, and contracts in collaboration with the organisation.
* Lead regular customer meetings to strengthen partnerships and drive long‑term success.
* Stay ahead of the competition by monitoring market trends and identifying new growth.
Qualifications
* Understanding of laboratory workflows and key instrumentation drivers.
* Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce an advantage).
* Knowledge of finance metrics, typically bookings, revenue & margins.
* Experience in sales forecasting and budget management.
* Strong balance of sales hunting and account management skills.
* Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
* Experience managing third‑party channels and global accounts.
* Presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
* Expertise in strategic sales planning and business development.
* Experience working in international markets.
* Strong communication skills to drive collaboration across regional and national teams.
* Ability to secure and manage high‑value international deals.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
* Extensive sales experience in the scientific/lab equipment industry.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
* Business‑conscious and commercially astute.
* Fluent in English, with additional European languages a plus.
