Location: Police HQ, Kidlington
Contract Type: Temporary (April 2026)
Working Pattern: Full Time 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 3.30pm

What You'll Do:
As an Operations Planner, you will be at the heart of our operational planning efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
Logistical Support: Provide crucial logistical support and coordination for major incidents and events, ensuring an effective police response.
Guidance & Support: Offer guidance to police officers, staff, and event organisers in planning police operations and public events.
Contingency Management: Assist in contingency planning and management, contributing to the efficient execution of operations.
Policy Development: Create and review designated Force policies and procedures in line with professional standards.
Collaborative Partnerships: Liaise with partner agencies and negotiate effective services to optimise community safety.
Budget Management: Manage operational budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.

What We're Looking For:
Education: Educated to QCF Level 3 or equivalent experience.
Experience: Demonstrated competence in event and operational planning, with a strong understanding of public safety processes.
Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage operational budgets effectively.
