About the Role
An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a proactive Stores Controller to join their operations team in Bicester.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the stores function — managing goods in/out, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting production with a smooth and efficient supply of materials. This is a key position within a busy technical environment where attention to detail and good communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and book in materials, components, and equipment
*
Pick, issue, and dispatch goods accurately and efficiently
*
Maintain and update stock records using SAP or similar ERP systems
*
Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts
*
Ensure stock accuracy and correct storage of materials
*
Liaise with purchasing, production, and logistics to ensure smooth workflow
*
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse area
Skills & Experience Required
*
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials control environment
*
SAP or other ERP system experience essential
*
Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach) preferred
*
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
*
Confident communicator able to work with multiple departments
*
Good IT skills and understanding of stock control processes
