3rd line it support engineer

Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per year Requirements: 4 years of experience within a technical support, infrastructure, or managed service environment Strong experience working at 3rd line level Excellent Microsoft 365 administration experience Advanced PowerShell scripting skills Experience building Power Automate workflows Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy Good networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and switches Hands-on Azure experience Experience with RMM and MDM tools such as N central and Intune Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions clearly Experience working within Cyber Essentials, ITIL, or ISO-aligned environments would be advantageous Relevant certifications such as Microsoft certifications, AZ 104, MS 102, CCNA, or ITIL would be beneficial but are not essential Responsibilities: Act as the escalation point for complex 3rd line technical issues Design, deploy, and support Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender Create PowerShell scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency Build Power Automate workflows to enhance client and internal processes Manage Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services Support network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless solutions Manage Azure environments including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services Deliver infrastructure projects from initial design through to implementation and documentation Proactively monitor and maintain customer systems using RMM tools Support and mentor junior engineers within the team Maintain accurate documentation and customer records Technologies: Active Directory Azure Support ITIL Microsoft 365 Network PowerShell SharePoint TCP/IP Windows Office 365 Cloud Security More: We are a growing technology solutions provider supporting a wide range of small and medium-sized businesses.
