Description Organisation: Defence Equipment & Support Salary: £44,100 - £47,700 per annum (plus generous benefits) Grade: Professional II Working Pattern: Full Time, Part Time, Job Share, Flexible Working Contract Type: Permanent At Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), we supply and maintain vital equipment and services for the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force. This role requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance. Clearance must be obtained without any caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role you've been recruited for. If it isn't obtained, or is obtained but with caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role, any conditional offer made to you will be withdrawn. Obtaining SC security clearance can be a lengthy process, and we reserve the right to withdraw any conditional offer made if the necessary security clearance isn't obtained within 12 months. If so, The Project Delivery team is seeking a motivated and high-performing Project Manager to join our team. Our Project Management community at RAF Marham is comprised of skilled professionals committed to delivering a diverse portfolio of complex and impactful projects. These initiatives directly support the operational effectiveness of our armed forces by ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of critical equipment and capabilities. You’ll be joining our F-35 Lightning team at RAF Marham, the home of the UK’s fifth-generation, multi-role stealth fighter. This project signifies a significant advancement in the UK's air power capabilities, enabling the projection of air power from both land and sea. We will provide you with diverse opportunities at the forefront of ensuring the delivery of crucial and significant projects. For example, you could be involved in projects that deliver equipment to the front lines, supporting Humanitarian aid globally, or guaranteeing future capabilities such as robotics and automation, to take people out of areas of conflict. We champion flexible ways of working. Regular in-person attendance is required (this is expected to be approximately 60% of your working week) to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration alongside flexibility of hours to support work-life balance and business need. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role. Please note: For security reasons this role is reserved for sole UK nationals only. A ‘sole UK national’ refers to an individual who holds citizenship solely in the UK, without dual citizenship or nationality from another country. We’re unable to offer visa sponsorship. What you’ll be doing Meeting with customers/stakeholders/suppliers to manage the work through all parts of the project lifecycle to deliver the output/outcome including mitigation of risks, management of budgets within defence. Responsible for leading, managing and developing multidisciplinary teams covering a range of subject areas within associated complex projects, multiple projects or complex control accounts. Support an open, honest, no blame culture, proactively tackling shortfalls. Learning from experience, implementing change and identification of constructive next steps, whilst contributing to the continual improvement of the team, through commitment to self-learning and supporting your team’s learning and development. Deliver project requirements within the cost, time and quality parameters and meet in-year budgets. Person specification To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria : Leading and managing a team to deliver projects/outputs. Experience in managing a project to delivery outputs and outcomes. Experience in stakeholder and supplier engagement and building positive working relationships. The ability to solve problems and find solutions. Proven ability to be resilient in an ever-changing environment. In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview: Technical Competence: Controlling a Project – Practitioner Leadership – CSBC3 Changing & Improving – CSBC3
