Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Assistant Company Secretary, this role is based in York with hybrid working arrangements. It is a Contractor / Fixed Term Contract for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Role Description
We are seeking an individual to provide administrative support to UK-based company secretaries, covering for an absence from the office. The Company Secretary Admin Support will assist in the corporate administration of UK, Guernsey, and European entities, supporting members of the Group General Counsel team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in preparing board and committee meetings.
2. Maintain statutory books and records; gather documents ahead of meetings; load documents on Board Intelligence.
3. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Company Secretary.
4. Track correspondence and ensure all matters are attended to.
5. Organise and maintain files and documents.
6. Assist in preparing for board and committee meetings.
7. Handle confidential information with discretion.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have some experience with corporate governance and a background in admin support within a legal or company secretarial environment.
* Experience in an admin support role, preferably in legal or company secretarial settings.
* IT skills: Blueprint/Diligent, Microsoft Office, Board Intelligence (training available).
* Ability to operate in a complex environment, liaise with multiple stakeholders, and respond promptly to challenges.
