As a Microsoft Dynamics Functional Consultant, you’ll play an important role in assuring and optimising Dynamics solutions that support essential client services used nationwide. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and governance forums to ensure business processes, scheduling capabilities, and operational workflows are scalable, resilient, and aligned to evolving user needs. You will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week working on site at one of the following CGI and client offices; Nottingham, Bristol, or Birmingham.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide independent assurance across Microsoft Dynamics functional solutions within a key client programme. You’ll review configurations, workflows, business processes, integrations, and user journeys to ensure solutions align with operational requirements, governance standards, and service delivery objectives. Working across complex stakeholder environments, you’ll help ensure that Dynamics capabilities remain scalable, reliable, and fit for purpose throughout the delivery lifecycle.
You’ll also support transition activities between legacy and modern platforms, validating data quality, scheduling consistency, and operational resilience during dual-running phases. Alongside governance and assurance activities, you’ll contribute to knowledge transfer and coaching initiatives that help build sustainable capability across client teams.
Key responsibilities
•Review & Assure Dynamics configurations, workflows, and business rules
•Validate & Improve end-to-end business processes and user experiences
•Support & Govern releases, testing activities, and change management processes
•Assure & Monitor scheduling, optimisation, and operational performance outcomes
•Identify & Mitigate risks relating to dual running, integrations, and data consistency
•Collaborate & Influence stakeholders across business, technical, and governance teams
•Coach & Support client teams on Dynamics configuration and best practices
•Document & Maintain assurance findings using Jira, Confluence, and Lucid
•Validate & Support non-functional requirements including scalability, resilience, and reliability
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring strong experience working with Microsoft Dynamics functional solutions within large-scale enterprise or public sector environments. You should have excellent stakeholder engagement skills, a strong understanding of governance and assurance practices, and experience supporting complex business transformation programmes. Knowledge of Dynamics Field Service and Resource Scheduling Optimisation (RSO) will be highly beneficial.

•Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or public sector programmes
•Strong understanding of business processes, workflows, and service delivery optimisation
•Experience with governance, testing, release management, and operational assurance
•Ability to engage confidently with senior business and technical stakeholders
•Experience reviewing integrations, data quality, and operational dependencies
•Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills using Jira and Confluence
•Understanding of scalability, resilience, and non-functional requirements
•Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, or related certifications desirable
