Simulator Engineer - Jaguar TCS Racing

An opportunity has arisen for a Simulator Engineer to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the role
To operate the Driver in the Loop (DIL) simulator in formal and informal sessions as well as being involved in its development. To this end, the successful candidate will be part of the DIL group where he/she will be surrounded by experts on all the topics and fields involved.
What you will do
* Prepare everything that is needed operationally to have the simulator ready for the sessions,
* Run and operate all the sessions by interacting with the professional drivers as well as the Race/Performance/Controls Engineers involved in them,
* Support any informal running where pure development runs are done by Race/Performance/Controls engineers,
* Develop tools to simplify and automate DIL operation.
* Get involved in the Ops Room (Mission Control) to support the Race Team during events.
About you
* A high‑level Engineering qualification(s) in a Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace / Controls Engineering / Mathematics / Computer Science discipline or similar.
* Strong attention to detail and data driven mindset.
* Have good communication skills.
* Have experience using MATLAB and Simulink.
* Have experience with Microsoft Office Package.
* Experience in any other programming language, particularly C# and C++, would be an advantage.
* Experience using ATLAS and System Monitor would be an advantage.
* Be able to work independently to strict deadlines as well as being a strong team player.
* To be able to work under their own initiative when necessary.
* To have a ‘can do’ proactive attitude and proactively support others.
* Complete tasks given within agreed time frames.
* Have a flexible attitude to working hours.
* To follow and actively enforce the company’s health and Safety and HV policies.
