Overview
Ivy House School (Shaw Education Trust) is seeking an expert SEN Teacher with knowledge and experience in Autism education to join our dedicated team. We’re looking for a specialist who understands the unique learning profiles of students with Autism and similar needs, and who can create tailored, engaging, and supportive educational experiences. The school is a special school for pupils aged 2-19.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching for students with Autism and related needs.
* Use evidence-based strategies to enhance communication, sensory integration, and social engagement.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, families, and external professionals to meet individual pupil needs.
* Contribute to an individualised curriculum and pathway for learners.
Contract, Hours & Start
* Contract type: Fixed term until July 2026, with the possibility of staying until April 2027.
* Working hours: Full time.
* Start date: ASAP.
Salary
Salary: M1- UPS3 £31,650-£49,084 FTE (Pay award pending) + SEN Allowance
Expectations & Tour
We would recommend a tour – Monday 13th October from 4pm.
