Our client, a leading Subsea client based in Newcastle, are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be required to work in conjunction with the engineering team to design and deliver products from concept/ enquiry through to delivery
Candidates will ideally be degree qualified in an Mechanical discipline with knowledge of Mechanical design and working on various projects.
You will also have excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) as you will be dealing with all stakeholders in the business and also end user clients to interpret specifications and understand requirements.
This role is also open to Graduate level Engineers looking for the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)
* Attend kickoff, expediting and pre-production meetings with clients.
* Check drawings, procedures and calculations produced by team members for accuracy, tolerances and presentation.
* Interpret clients’ requirements, identifying and addressing design parameters and/or engineering problems and ensuring solutions are implemented.
* Evaluate, organise and prioritise work within each overall project schedule.
* Develop standard/project-specific drawings, design calculations and procedures for the work to be carried out.
* Continually liaise with clients to ensure that project engineering tasks meet contractual requirements and that all contractual variations are maintained to support subsequent commercial claims.
* Oversee the various stages of development for a variety of products and projects from concept to procurement/production and on through dispatch.
* Maintain a commercial awareness of projects (variations, liquidated damages, budget, etc.).
* Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Education/Qualifications:
* Completed appropriate apprenticeship / mechanical engineering degree
* Secondary school qualifications
Technical Competencies:
* Competent in using 3D CAD software
* FEA and hand calculations (desirable)
