Experienced HSE Engineer required for long term contract role, working on behalf of our client, a global engineering and construction contractor. This is a site based role in North Wales, working on a new carbon capture project. We are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience in construction and design regulation management on onshore oil & gas projects. Job Description: The successful candidate will ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the safety management system throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of our client's decommissioning and carbon capture project. Responsibilities: Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.) Support implementation and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements Plan and conduct internal HSE audits Coordinate and prepare HSE files and other deliverables following CDM regulations Lead accident / incident investigation Complete supplier HSE evaluations, readiness reviews and review supplier HSE documents to ensure they meet the Project requirements Cover for HSE Trainer, PTW Officer and HSE Officer Records, coordinates and monitors HSE Performance and KPI's Skills/experience/qualifications required: Education: Qualification in HSE or engineering related field. Nebosh diploma Experience: 3-7 years experience within the Oil & Gas industry and onshore projects with activities in construction design regulation management and survery/investigation Certification: ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Job Details: Ongoing contract - full time position. Working hours: 5 and a half days per week. Location: North Wales - site based. Travel to London office as & when required.
