We're looking for a proactive and community-focused Enforcement Officer to join our dynamic Community Protection Unit. This is your chance to be part of a team that tackles environmental crime head-on and works to create cleaner, safer neighbourhoods across Rotherham.
You'll Be Doing
* Leading investigations into environmental crimes, with a focus on fly-tipping and illegal waste disposal.
* Taking enforcement action and supporting wider intervention activities to improve local environments.
* Collaborating with Environmental Health Officers and Community Protection Officers to deliver joined-up solutions.
* Building strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders to drive positive change.

This post operates under a Career Grade/Grading Assessment Scheme, with starting salary and progression through the grades being linked to experience, qualifications and level of work being undertaken.
Appointments will be made at Band F or Band G depending on experience. To be considered for Band G, you'll need to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering enforcement and investigation work.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
