We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, playing a pivotal role in delivering smarter, greener infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
* Generating and reporting weekly revenue and cost reports.
* Controlling submissions of daily completed jobs.
* Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates.
* Supporting the authorization and submission of project variations, including contracts, subcontracts, and material and plant orders.
* Liaising with Operations & Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes.
* Assisting management with the subcontractor supply chain, including setup, final accounts, and applications.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Excellent stakeholder management, proactivity, accountability, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, is essential.
Quantity surveying experience and familiarity with projects from start to finish, including framework agreements, are preferred. Graduates with a quantity surveying degree are encouraged to apply. Experience with NEC contracts is advantageous.
A full and valid driving license is required as travel across the Southern Water region will be necessary.
