Hours of Work: 37½ hrs per week; 07.30-15.30 with ½ hour lunch break

Qualifications: Preferred minimum HNC in mechanical engineering
Job Purpose:
To carry out the refurbishment and repair of mechanical seals within the Warwick Service Centre and if required the Cumbernauld and Cork service centres. Provide service support on the company’s products, within customer sites as required, including Offshore installations, with the aim of providing good customer service that maintains customer expectations and upholds the company reputation for world leading products. Contribute within the Warwick and Cumbernauld team to assist with the efficient and effective operation of the Service Centres, with the aim of achieving the company’s sales and profitability targets.
General Background:
To work on own initiative and as part of a team based in Warwick, to ensure service levels are in line with customer expectations. Carry out all functions for inspection, repair and refurbishment of company and competitor products. Occasionally, there may be a need to attend the Cumbernauld and Cork service centre, customer sites around the UK, including offshore oil and gas installations. This may involve overnight stays and a reasonable amount of notice will be given where possible. Make joint visits to customers with external sales or service staff, as necessary.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Carry out service-related tasks and activities, workshop based and on site as required.
Supervision of seal and system installation on site from time to time, including offshore platforms.
Carry out preventative maintenance on all workshop equipment.
Assist with the development of service centre activities to ensure that customer service is always of the highest achievable standard.
Maintain computerised customer records.
Carry out warehouse, goods inward and dispatch duties as required.
Participate in customer training programs if required.
Ensure that general housekeeping within the workshop area is of the highest achievable standard.
Recommend methods by which processes can be managed efficiently by the entire company to improve the workload and throughput.
Carry out duties and ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, company regulations & procedures, plus ISO Quality standards.
Any other duties reasonably required or commensurate with the post.
