Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the direction of a teacher, or independently where appropriate.
* Cover classes in the short-term absence of the teacher.
* Lead small group and 1:1 interventions to raise attainment and support pupil progress.
* Assess, monitor, and record pupils' achievements to provide feedback to teachers.
* Support children's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
* Work in partnership with teachers to contribute to planning and curriculum delivery.
* Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation.
* Supervise pupils during non-teaching times (e.g., playtimes, lunchtimes, trips).
* Uphold safeguarding, equality and behaviour policies consistently.
Person Specification
Essential:
* HLTA status, Level 6 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent.
* Experience of working in a primary school setting.
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and strategies to support learning.
* Ability to lead and deliver learning with confidence.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to inclusive practice and raising standards for all pupils.
