Legal Secretary – Family Department
LOCATION: Camberley, Surrey
WORKTYPE: Full-Time, Office-Based, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
SALARY: £30,000 - £32,000 (Depending on Experience)
We are seeking a professional and proactive Legal Secretary to join our team in Camberley. This is a traditional office-based role supporting our Senior Partner in family law. While prior experience in family law is not required, a solid understanding of the area is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners within the family law department.
* Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence via digital dictation.
* Diary management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
* Preparing court bundles and legal documentation.
* Handling telephone calls and email correspondence professionally and efficiently.
* Filing, photocopying, scanning, and other general administrative duties.
* Liaising with clients and third parties in a courteous and confidential manner.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a legal secretarial role (any legal discipline).
* Strong typing skills, particularly dictation typing.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Understanding of family law processes and terminology (training can be provided).
* Professional, discreet, and client-focused approach.
