Job Description
New Directions is currently recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant in Stockport, who can support primary aged learners with SEMH & Complex Needs. This role is longer-term, full-time to commence asap – and would suit somebody with SEMH experience in either a mainstream or SEMH setting.
The School:
1. Primary School in Reddish, Stockport
2. Strong focus on inclusion throughout the school
3. Good links to public transport – commutable from Stockport, Manchester & Tameside
The Role:
4. Classroom based teaching assistant for KS2 – supporting teaching and learning.
5. Mostly general classroom support in small specialist classes – working with learners with SEMH, Complex Needs.
6. Full time – Monday to Friday – 8:30am -4pm
The Candidate:
7. Recent experience working with primary aged students with SEMH (in either mainstream or SEND)
8. Strong rapport building skills with a passion for supporting students with additional needs.
