Dance Teacher – Maternity Cover (Jan – Jan + 12 months)
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a part‑time Dance Teacher to cover a maternity leave in a forward‑thinking secondary school in Lambeth. The role primarily covers Year 10 and 11 GCSE Dance, with occasional support for Key Stage 3 PE.
Start date: January 2024 – 1‑year maternity contract
Salary: London MPS/UPS
Key Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in Dance and experience teaching GCSE Dance
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students
* Passion for performing arts and fostering creativity and confidence
* Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working within a team
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality GCSE Dance lessons to Years 10 and 11
* Provide engaging and inclusive support for Key Stage 3 PE
* Assess and track student progress and provide feedback to support learning
* Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and departmental initiatives
