Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join the team, based at Haberdashers' Adams in Newport, Shropshire. This is a Job Share post with hours on Thursday and Friday, 9am–5pm (14 hours per week). Term-time plus four weeks would be considered. This is a one-year temporary contract in the first instance, with a possibility of a permanent contract and increased hours in the future. We are seeking an adaptable, hardworking team player to complement this busy department. Excellent communication, experience working with computerised accounting systems, effective ICT skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
* Provide financial and administrative support in the accounts department.
* Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and accounting processes as required.
* Utilise computerised accounting systems and ICT tools to support financial operations.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience in a similar accounts role or relevant accounting qualifications.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work on your own initiative.
* Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
Salary and terms
Salary – Actual £9,510–£9,735 based on 14 hours per week. This reflects a 14-hour week (hourly rate dependent on experience).
