Project Manager (Public Sector) - Architectural
VANRATH is assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Project Manager - Architectural for 6-12 months initially, with a high likelihood of extension and permanence, based in Armagh.
Responsibilities
The post holder will provide leadership for a diverse, geographically dispersed team of professional, technical, and administrative staff across various Minor functions within the Infrastructure and Capital Development Division. Responsibilities include managing and delivering Minor Works Capital Projects and overseeing related budgets.
The role involves managing projects within the portfolio, contributing to transformational change, and implementing new structures, strategies, policies, procedures, and processes. The Project Manager will participate in ongoing change and harmonisation across the Infrastructure Capital Development Division and the Minor Capital Programme Delivery.
The Project Manager will assist in the development of all aspects of Minor capital delivery, including projects in both controlled and non-controlled sectors, and other special initiatives. They will be accountable to the Minor Capital Programme Locality Manager for effective management and delivery, liaising with the Department of Education and other sectorial bodies to ensure policy compliance and standards adherence.
Requirements
* Degree in Project Management or a Construction-related discipline with at least three years' experience in construction-related Project Management.
* OR corporate membership of a relevant Professional Institute (e.g., RICS, CIOB, ABE, APM, PMI, CIAT, ARB) with a minimum of two years' experience.
* OR at least five years' paid experience in construction-related project management within the last ten years.
* Proven experience in managerial and technical decision-making.
* Experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 Contracts.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of Northern Ireland Building Regulations.
* Experience with PQQ and ITT procurement processes and e-tendering.
* Understanding of health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
* Full Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle.
Remuneration
£42,700 per annum, plus discount benefits.
