Process Technician - Mechanic
Location: Peacehaven - you will also need to be willing to travel across multiple sites and have a current full driving licence.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours
Salary: Base pay ranges £36,954.02 up to £44,344 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

About the role
Join our Wastewater Team to maintain and repair wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations. Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement.
What you will be responsible for:
4. Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment.
5. Install new plant and equipment as required.
6. Respond to alarms and fault-find issues, fixing or escalating as needed.
7. Carry out inspection and testing on mechanical equipment following company procedures.
8. Provide technical expertise to internal and external contractors.
9. Update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.
10. Participate in standby cover if required.
Additional Requirements
Standby if required on a 1-in-7 day rota.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential
11. Level 3 NVQ Mechanical qualification with certificates.
12. Full UK driving licence.
13. Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable
14. Experience in water industry.
15. Strong understanding of pumping station operation and wastewater treatment process.
16. Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
