Overview
We are seeking a Cancer Patient Navigator to support the Cancer Tumor Site Teams at Basildon hospital site and other hospitals across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This role facilitates the smooth patient journey by coordinating cancer pathways and ensuring patient‑centred processes.
Responsibilities
* Support the Cancer Tumor Site Teams by coordinating and streamlining patient pathways.
* Work directly and indirectly with patients and carers, capturing and updating information in patient records and Trust systems.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of complete patient pathways, ensuring accurate documentation and high attention to detail.
* Collaborate with clinical nurse teams and report to cancer business partners to transform current processes.
* Provide cross‑cover within tumour site teams across multiple hospitals, ensuring consistent support for all cancer sub‑specialities.
* Participate in hybrid working arrangements as required.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good knowledge and understanding of patient complete pathways (required).
Additional Information
This role is based at one of the three hospitals, with a primary base at Basildon hospital. No VISA sponsorship is offered.
