This is a new post developed due to the re‑configuration of secure bed state.

You will work alongside a collaborative multi‑disciplinary team, offering expert assessment, diagnosis and care for adults with complex psychiatric needs following a trauma‑informed care approach.
Main Duties of the Job
* Provide clinical leadership for the new male low secure ward at the Chichester Centre.
* Deliver inpatient care and assess patients referred through the single point of access; referrals are allocated at the weekly meetings – average one per week.
* Chair weekly recovery reviews, CPA meetings and risk clinics, and conduct reviews outside MDT meetings.
* Provide professional supervision to the medical team and the wider MDT, contributing to business planning and strategic work.
* Lead improvement of quality of care within the team and across the system.

Qualifications

* Good standing with GMC regarding warnings or conditions on practice (Desirable)
Clinical Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Ability to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training (Essential)
* Experience in team leadership and shared leadership (Essential)
* Commitment to continuous professional development and involvement in audit, quality improvement, service evaluation or research (Essential)
* Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit or service improvement such as awards, publications or presentations (Desirable)
