People Effectiveness Manager
Location: GSK House (Brentford) OR possibility to work remotely
Duration: 6 month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment
Job Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to support GSK’s Leadership and Learning team through a 6-month (Parental Leave Coverage) engagement as People Effectiveness Manager.
The People Effectiveness Manager role brings thought leadership and practical solutions to the people and leadership development agenda at GSK. It delivers a systematic approach for enhancing the performance of people through planned interventions, programmes and tools. These will focus on culture activation and reinforcement, people performance, learning and leadership development.
A key contribution is to diagnose and design interventions to support the GSK Purpose, Strategy and Culture which aim to:
* Build a learning culture that enables people to perform and lead others in delivering against GSK priorities
* Enhance people’s development and deliver resources to ensure we have the right capabilities in GSK to deliver our Purpose and Strategy
* Enable leadership development and measure progress against the desired culture through One80 and the evaluation of development interventions
* Ensure the deployment and execution of Leadership and Learning solutions is effective and efficient
The role purpose is to lead on the implementation of enterprise learning interventions with pace and effective stakeholder management. Ensure excellent delivery and project management, budget management and that high quality communication plans are in place to be activated by the businesses based on their specific context. To keep abreast of emerging issues aligned to the learning and development space anticipating business challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage global Leadership programme(s) working with the delivery partners to refresh programme content and with the Learning Operations team for successful deployment.
* Contribute to Keep Growing Campus proposition and support content creation/curation requirements for Leadership and Business Skills development.
* Responsible for managing and utilising communication and engagement channels effectively across Leadership and Learning proposition to encourage employee engagement and continuous learning.
* Design and diagnose interventions for critical enterprise capabilities
* Ensure solutions align with GSK skills and leadership frameworks.
* Work with external providers to support Leadership and Learning programme needs (e.g. Accenture, Harvard and LinkedIn).
* Acquire and share data and insights through People Data & Analytics products/team to understand impact of Leadership and Learning solutions.
* Liaise with Global Process Owners (GPOs) and Global Capability Centre as appropriate to ensure effective, customer centric global processes are in place to support effective leaner experience.
* Engage with the Learning Business Leads community of practice to ensure alignment to priorities and enable sharing of best practices, opportunities and challenges.
* Collaborate with other SMEs and CoEs to ensure alignment and pull through of key themes across GSK people agenda.
* Lead and collaborate with the GCC Community Management team on the global Keep Growing Workplace marketing calendar, aligned to strategic L&D priorities.
* Access insight and practices from own network of external organisations and providers.

* Extensive experience in L&D or a related field (OD/Culture /Talent)
* Experience of learning design and delivery and leadership development approaches
* Expertise in insights and impact measurement

* Independent self-starter; able to work with minimal direction
* Strong cross-functional influencing, pro-active leadership, and team-working skills
* Excellent communications skills, ability to develop high quality strategy papers, recommendations, and presentations
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to lead and substantially influence the outcome of multidisciplinary meetings
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience of working in a diverse global corporate environment, managing conflicting priorities and highly confidential decisions/content
* Global mindset, ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders supporting all business units in GSK
