Job Description
Chelmsford Public Schools Anticipated Long Term Substitute French Teacher Vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.
Position: Long-Term Substitute High School French Teacher
Location: Chelmsford High School
Assignment Dates: Immediate start- 11/03/2025 (Dates are subject to change)
General Description: Teach students in academic, social and manipulative skills, working within assigned subject areas to provide optimum student services in accordance with the objectives established by the School Committee. Coordinate efforts with specialists assigned to provide additional specific services. Confer with parents to promote better understanding of the pupil and his/her environment. Assist and guide ancillary personnel. Attend meetings and prepare and maintain all related records and reports reflecting activities as required or directed. Perform other duties as directed or as responsibilities necessitate. Certification in French 5-12 is required.

Chelmsford High School is a public high school located in Chelmsford Massachusetts, established in 1927. The school is based on a three-house system. The houses are named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Whittier, three well-known New England writers. Each house has two to three school counselors, a dean, and an office. All students are assigned a house at the beginning of their freshman year. Chelmsford High School offers opportunities in high-quality academics, community service, performing arts experiences, championship-level athletics, and mentor relationships in a technologically rich environment.

Job Requirements
* Successful candidates will hold the appropriate degree and MA DESE Teaching License in the subject and grade level. Massachusetts license in 5-12 French is required. Please bring official transcripts to the hiring supervisor if interviewed in the event that you are recommended for hire.
