Responsibilities
* Lead project management commissions, taking end-to-end responsibility for service delivery.
* Act as the key daily client interface, ensuring client objectives are met and projects delivered to time, cost targets and appropriate quality standards.
* Handle commissions of varying scale and value; up to £40m in normal cases; advisory engagements such as urban regeneration funding may involve larger projects.
* Advise at a strategic level at project conception, including advising on approaches to achieve client objectives.
* Lead establishment of success criteria for time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
* Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues.
* Establish effective project governance, processes and systems.
* Develop detailed project plans.
* Advise on procurement of resources.
* Lead and facilitate cross‑functional project teams.
* Monitor and apply performance management techniques, using KPIs to improve performance.
* Manage change control process.
* Monitor and advise on project finances.
* Manage flow of project information between team and client via regular meetings and written communications.
* Ensure production of formal project progress and other reports.
* Take leading role interfacing with client and other consultants throughout project stages.
* Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in relevant discipline (desirable).
* Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects, ideally in a consultancy environment (essential).
